No One Will Be Left Sitting

Surely this is what everyone needs, a band that does exactly what their name suggests? Glasgow based Dance Lazarus Dance aren’t hiding behind a mind boggling name that reeks of stupidity as it tries in vein to be clever. Oh no, with this band the minute their music kicks in its clear that they are all about getting people on their feet, filling up the dance floors with beats that are infectiously irresistible amidst vocals that bristle with a Scottish twang that only adds to the band’s appeal.

Jangling jubilantly with foot tapping allure, ‘Team Boombox’ unleashes an electro avalanche of indie disco beats brilliantly fighting for attention against sing out loud vocals that build from a mass of messy shouts to a sharp, spiky duel clash that bubbles with a disco punk ethos that energetically propels you to the nearest dance floor. Ramming the nations entire electro quota into four minutes, ‘Do The Miami Vice’ jerks and stamps with captivating energy, pausing here and there to let you catch your breath before whipping through a chorus that leaves the mind spinning and the feet aching with utter contentment before the fantastically titled, ‘Take That Jesus’ jabs with synth driven recklessness, unleashing hook after contagious hook with no regard for the consequences. As if that wasn’t enough, ‘Faxing Me, Faxing You’ sets out to prove that Dance Lazarus Dance can even top their own dance floor infectiousness, missing only helpful safety warning as the sinister edgy rock saunters into guarantee no one is left sitting still.
