Biography

'If you want to reach the highest level of being and see God, you have to have all your senses fail'

This Hinduism belief is where the band found their name. From Bergen County in New Jersey Senses Fail are an intellectual bunch, taking their title track from their debut album from a poem by nihilistic author and poet Charles Bukowski, 'the irony of dying on your birthday' from the work of mythologist Joseph Campbell and the lyrics of 'slowdance' are comprised from lines from Dao De Jing (Doaism - living a pacifist path).
They started off touring clubs in New Jersy but after recording their debut EP with producer John Naclerio 'From The Depths Of Dreams' they managed to tour with Finch, Millencolin and The Starting Line. Then returned to the studio with Steve Evetts to record 'Let It Enfold You' and ended 2003 touring with The Used. Touring continued exhaustively through 2004 before releasing their album. read less
