Primitai are a band from the South East, although the band comprises of members from Sandhurst, London, Southampton and Reading (via Bosnia). There is a nice mix of classic Thrash and contemporary Metal with the band in this single, ‘The Craft’.
Starting with huge Metal riffs bigger than a rockers hair from the 80’s we have a feverish double bass pedal banging away whilst the guitars then mix it up from impressive shredding, big power chords and chugging riffs. Guy’s vocal delivery makes the band sound a bit like Iron Maiden mixed with Avenged Sevenfold. The sound is certainly not dated, and the deeper vocals help this.
‘The Craft’ is a nice tune and there will always be a market for this type of Metal. That said it is not groundbreaking, and therefore not anything that if you are a fan of this genre, won’t already have in your album collection.
