Killing in the name of…!
These four guys from Twickenham clearly bring forward a whole host of influences and this is easy to hear on this single, ‘The Weirder Brave’. The song for the most part is quick and punchy with singer Sanj Surati’s slightly baritone vocals and the thick bass that almost sounds halfway towards being Ska; however the guitars are strong and hard and the drums smash, splash and crash everything in sight, and with the extra screamo vocals periodically, you get a full spectrum of styles that merge together in a kaleidoscopic bowl that is clearly marker ‘Kick Ass’. Lyrically, the band deal with their frustrations over the rise in coverage throughout the media of the British National Party, and again show that the true roots of Punk lie in songs revolving around the struggles of politics.
This slice of ballsy Rock is slightly different and could be best described as Inner-City Punk. Whatever it is it’s good. The band have been around since 2002, and this is the lead track off of the band’s second album, ‘Snitchies & Stichies’, that follows on from 2008’s debut, ‘Not Your Orthodox’. Anonymous Tip have toured with the likes of Enter Shikari, Propagandhi, and Snuff. ‘Snitchies & Stichies’ will be released later in the year.
