The Fondas look in great shape to take on the world!

The Fonda's have come out fighting with a new genre that they call Slum Rock, which is presumably English garage rock with dashes of The Clash's rawness and a sprinkling of indie-heroes Radiohead, baked and given a slight a hint of Ramones love of rocking to finish off!

'Be Alone' starts off with a simple riff and builds up into a hard rocking number. There is a rawness from The Fondas that is almost enchanting, and you feel proud that these guys are indeed from this side of the pond. Sounding a little like The Dogs, The Fondas have found that playing rock dirty and with passion is the key to getting across to the less fickle crowds that crave not the commercially polished and contrived, but the honest balls-to-the-walls integrity that is essential for a band to last.

It's not the most catchy song, but so what? This isn't pop/punk but gritty Slum Rock! After being snapped up by Levelsound Music earlier in the year, The Fondas have toured endlessly around Bristol and South Wales, and are due to release an album early next year, which if you believe the hype is going to propel the band that has been dubbed '...the must see, must hear act of 2006...' let's hope that they live up to it and make their mothers proud!
