The Secret Will Out

Helsinki natives, Husky Rescue have remained somewhat of a hidden secret for the last couple of years, a band you cling tightly too, a little reluctant to share with others in case the rest of the world cotton on and steals your wonderful treasure (think of the recent fiasco over Arcade Fire tickets and you have a idea of what I mean). But there comes a point where you can't keep quite any more and you simply have to share with all.

Taken from their second album, 'Ghost Is Not Real', 'Nightless Night' sees the Finnish quintet break slightly from their trademark cinematic electronica that offers an air of mystery and mystique to their fragile folk base, opting instead to adopt a rock outlook that flaunts thumping beats welded surprisingly well around their electro folk roots. Coming across as an almost Blondie meets Arcade Fire affair with a strong dash of The Cardigans seeping from each pore, 'Nightless Nights' is an electronic stomp of beauty that manages to have your foot tapping merrily along as Reeta-Leena Korhola's vocals gracefully charm. Embrace them before everyone gets in on the secret.
