The summer of love.

Straight out of San Francisco these guys are slightly wacky. The plus side is that this is happy music and they seem to be enjoying themselves, however it’s a real jumble of styles and it does work, but there is something that I can’t put my finger on that leaves me confused. ‘Good Thing It’s A Ghost Town’ starts off with a funky bassline from your average ‘70’s disco, before the vocals kick in sounding a little like Port O’Brien, with a choir of female singers and a main male vocal • as far as I can tell there are about 12 members. We have brass, strings, drums and guitars to name but a few instruments…

Next song, ‘Rope Burn’, has a slight reggae/2 Tone feel to it and there is a definite depth to Still Flyin’ that is a bit like a group of Band Camp Geeks that have taken to the road and come up with a sound that is Folk driven, but catchy and accessible enough to make it into the mainstream.

I’m not sure who they are, how many of them there are, or even what my own name is after this, but I’m not so sure that any of this is bad…Cruising high in the summer sky, still flying and soaring, they could be up there for years…
