Wet, Wet, Wet

We like The Holiday Plan at Room Thirteen – there are some bands that are always great, down-to-earth, friendly people and then there are the superstar-divas who like to think of themselves as better than the average person. Whilst my colleague spent yesterday hanging out with the band at Reading – I’ve got the short straw of reviewing them.

Possibly playing to their largest ever crowd, The Holiday Plan haven’t left space for even one more person in the Concrete Jungle Stage. It may have something to do with the fact that it’s started chucking it down outside. Nonetheless, The Holiday Plan use it to push their unique screamo-stylings out to an inquisitive and wet crowd.

Whilst they may not be able to help members of the crowd dry their clothes, they use the opportunity to play to so many people to their merit and feed off the energy that so many people provide them. The vocals may sometimes be slightly off – but The Holiday Plan have the makings of something larger in the future.

If you want to admit for a minute that you like the, currently unfashionable, emo – then try The Holiday Plan.
