Short and Mediocre

Blink 182 have been playing together for a long time, have had many arena tours and have even co-headlined last years Reading and Leeds festivals with Linkin Park. They are normally tight performers that are full of energy. Where as tonight - this is sadly missing.

The crowd for tonight's gig are mostly under 15 - for a lot of them you imagine that this is their first ever gig. When the second support band come on many get excited and it even takes some of them a full song to realise that in fact it is not Blink 182. This gives some idea of the atmosphere - it is more as if a large pop act were to be gracing the stage than a punk-rock band that have been playing for more years than a lot of the crowd have been alive.

The set runs through a lot of everyone's favourite songs and ranges from 'All The Small Things' to 'Rock Show' and the band play well and with the punky zest that you would expect. The problem is that there is nothing special about the performance. There is no feeling behind each song, there is very little crowd interaction and you get the feeling that no matter what was played this crowd would love it the same.

After a measly one hour, the entire set is over and the band leave - this is a far shorter set than their festival performances last year. This is not Blink at their best.
