Rainbow?

Having seen one good band tonight, I'm dubious that The Killers are, quite frankly, going to be pants - its not normal to get two good support bands on a small tour and to my (pleasant) surprise I was wrong.

The bassist has a pink jumper on and looks like Jefery from Rainbow. The guitarist looks like the keyboard player from Electric Six with a strangly floppy mini-afro and the front-man has quite clearly walked in to The Killers from The Hives. This may seem like an odd-combination but for their bizarley cheesey synthed-electro-indie music the look seems to fit them well.

The Killers have been receiving a lot of acclaim recently and are tipped to be another one of the "next-big-things" to hit the English music scene. I'm not sure whether or not I would go that far, but I would say that the set is good. Considering the fact that most people haven'theard of this band they crowd get in to the music and at some point everyone has been caught nodding their heads to the strange introductions.

It is the unique mix of sounds that make this band worth seeing. Without just going on looks their sound does lie somewhere between the 1980s, Electric Six and The Hives - if you like any one of those three then you should go and check them out. The pink jumper is now removed and the set is over, enough said?
