Less Than Jake
A band that never fails to deliver and amazing set. If the Gainsville ska five-some ever perform a set leaving anyone in the crowd wondering "what was that about?" then I will be surprised. They are a band that you cannot give reasons as to how they perform. They just do.
As they come on to the stage there is an influx of people running for the main stage wanting to see their favourite band. They are not disapointed. Within ten minutes of their set every single person within ear shot of the main stage is fixated on the set. They do not throw themselves around the stage like madmen, they do not have a stageshow anything like Slipknot, they do not use gimics - they just play and enjoy themselves.
The band truely do justice to what the alternative music scene is supposed to be about when they honour their fans by giving details of what happened at the Carling Weekend in 2002 - a feat most bands would never be able to do. As a rule of thumb never trust a band that says "This is the best set we've ever played". Less Than Jake do not say this - they just give an amazing set and let you know that they've had a good time and you can honestly believe that they're enjoying performing their hits such as Gainsville Rock City to their latest album Anthem.
Less Than Jake truely deserve to be seen by everyone - regardless of preference in music - they are what live music is about.
