The Blackout @ Guilfest Saturday 17th July Rock Sound Cave

To top off a Rock Sound Cave line-up Kerrang tour would have envied, The Blackout cause such a stir for the Guilfest audience, the tent became an open-ended free-for-all!

The Welsh stars, who will be touring with You Me At Six late this year into next and performed alongside Paramore at their secret 800 capacity Islington show why they are no longer merely a support act for the larger players by headlining the big night. Tracks ‘I’m A Riot, You’re A Riot’, ‘I Don’t Care’ and ‘Save Ourselves’ the latter of which ended with the entire audience on their knees, proved that they deserved their headlining slot.

‘Children Of The Night’ caused the regular stir and Sean Smith was pretty much spot-on on the vocal front. Circle pits emerged within the middle of the buzzing crowd, eventually turning three huge mosh-pits into one. As the crowd walked away completely exhausted from the Cave and the outside allowed in for the unprecedented time of the weekend, only one question was left; Tinie Tempah who?
