Biography

Matt Drake - Rhythm Guitar/Vocals
Ol Drake - Lead Guitar
Mike Alexander - Bass
Ben Carter - Drums

After 3 years of gigging in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, under the name 'Metal Militia', playing mainly Metallica covers, the band decided they'd had enough of the covers side of things, and started dedicating themselves to writing their own material. Having written four original songs of their own they changed their name to Evile. With classic 80's thrash elements mixed with a more melodic sound; Evile started creating what would be known as the "All Hallows Eve EP".

Matt and Ol Drake (brothers) and indeed founding members of the band, grew up with many varying musical influences surrounding them and wanted to start up a band which played some of their favourite 80's thrash songs. Ben Carter an old school friend of Matt's had been playing for a number of years with other bands and knowing he had a similar sort of background to Matt and Ol, they decided to get him involved. After six months or so of playing with different bass players, in stepped Mike Alexander. Mike started playing bass guitar in his teens, and got together with the other 3 members of the band via an ad that had been placed in a local guitar shop, thus began Metal Militia. Evile have many different musical tastes, giving their music it's cutting edge. Bands such as Sepultura, Annihilator, Testament, Metallica, Kreator, Obituary and Exodus to name but a few have all influenced this band in some way shape or form.
