One of our favourite festivals is back for 2007, with a line up as varied as ever.
Guilfest, surprisingly enough, takes place in Guildford in Surrey, and presents a more laid back approach to the hectic activity of the summer months.
You can read about previous events
here, and carry on for our guide to this year's festival.
The main stage is sponsored by Radio 2, and the bill is sufficiently middle of the road in order to reflect this. That said there are plenty of quality acts featured, including headline sets from three legends of UK music, in Supergrass, Squeeze and Madness.
Other note-worthy acts include providers of a guaranteed good time The Ordinary Boys, hotly tipped US rockers The Hold Steady, and chill out masters Morcheeba.
The Rock Sound Cave presents a stronger line up than twelve months ago, with the returning My Vitriol and Hell Is For Heroes, plus the likes of Reuben, Orange Goblin and Yourcodenameis:milo all fresh from Download appearances.
The Ents 24 Stage has as diverse a list as anywhere. With founding member of Fairport Convention Richard Thompson, alongside Uriah Heep playing for those of an older vintage, plus much talked about new acts like Ra Ra Riot, Tiny Dancers, Dykeenies, Howling Bells and Cherry Ghost, not to mention former Ash guitarist Charlotte Hatherley.
The line up for the Radio 2, Ents 24 and Rock Sound stages are listed below, plus a link for further details on other stages. Also get links to previous R13 coverage for some of those playing.
